What is BLACKOUT?   BLACKOUT is the Men of ONYX’s leather run that takes place every two years.  It is a time when the members of ONYX come together to fellowship with each other and other like-minded individuals.

Can anyone attend BLACKOUT?  Yes.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  Our event is a safe space for all no matter your race, sexual orientation, or gender identification.

Is there a cost to attend BLACKOUT?  Yes.  There is a cost to participate in BLACKOUT.  Please visit the events schedule tab for more information on the cost of an all-access package or à la carte pricing.

Do I have to stay at the host hotel to participate in BLACKOUT?  No, however, to maximize your BLACKOUT experience, you are encouraged to stay at the host hotel.  Your room rate comes with additional concessions that aren’t offered at an off-site hotel.

 

What if I’m not actively involved in BDSM or kink, will I be welcomed to participate? Yes.  ONYX University breakout sessions will give you a glimpse into what BDSM/kink involves.  Feel free to ask questions during these sessions to learn more about the lifestyle.

Are there guidelines or a code of conduct for the event?   Yes.  We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for every individual at our event.  The following behaviors are expected and requested of all attendees.

Code of Conduct –Expected Behavior

  • Participate in a safe, sane, and consensual way. In doing so, you contribute to the health and longevity of this community.

  • Exercise consideration and respect in your speech and actions.

  • Attempt collaboration before creating conflict.

  • Refrain from any and all demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.

  • Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow attendees. Alert organizers if you notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress, or violations of this Code of Conduct, even if they seem inconsequential.

  • Remember that community event venues may be shared with members of the public; please be respectful to all patrons of these locations.
